Understanding Opportunity Project, Inc.
Founded in 1993 by families who understood the challenges of life after serious brain injuries, Opportunity Project, Inc. has nurtured hope and support for many. These families recognized a critical need for comprehensive transitional services that complemented existing medical care.
The organization embraced the nationally recognized “Clubhouse model,” which fosters community support and engagement. Starting with just five members, Opportunity Project has now grown to support over 600 individuals and their families, illustrating a community’s vital response to a crucial need. In fact, 85% of members report improved social connections after participating in their programs.
A Life-Changing Environment
Opportunity Project’s facility in Millburn spans an impressive 14,000 square feet, designed to create a welcoming Clubhouse atmosphere. Here, members can access vital resources, from educational workshops to employment assistance.
This approach helps them develop essential vocational skills, restore self-esteem, and regain confidence. Members talk about how the environment empowers them to engage in productive activities and fosters friendships. In a recent survey, 90% of participants expressed they feel a sense of belonging at the Clubhouse, affirming its significance in their lives.
By eating out during Restaurant Week, you contribute to this life-changing support system, knowing that every bite helps those striving to reclaim their lives after injury.
This years Restaurant Week Sponsors are Liv Breads Artisan Bakery and Coffee Bar and CSG Law.
