Lunar Faire is New Jerseys first pop-up night market that celebrates "the strange and unusual, the moon obviously, and all the weird things people make and do." This one of a kind traveling night market pops up all over New Jersey under the new and full moons from Spring through Halloweekend. Lunar Faire is a combination of creative vendors, live music and dance performances, tarot readers and so much more.
Plan on staying for hours because there is so much do to. The vendors come from all over and sell everything from crystals, bath bombs, art pieces, natural skin products and aromatherapy candles. Not to mention “oddball wares, curious crafts, intuitive services, esoteric arts and more.”
Entertainers include drag shows, fire eating dancers, traveling flute player and you can even partake in the drum circle and manifestation ceremonies.
The events are family friends and they encourage all to dress up according to the theme.
Lunar Faire started out on a tiny beach in Oakland NJ in 2021 where a few hundred people came out to that first venue and now thousands of people gather under the new and full moons from Spring (Beltane) through Halloweekend (Samhain) to be "witchy and weird" in a safe inclusive space. They are about to enter their 4th season and very year on the new moon in June they have a prom-themed anniversary and this year it's an 80s prom!
The founders of this event pride themselves on inclusivity and acceptance, so the Faire is a place where people of all kinds are free to express themselves.
